Every year, millions of tons of perfectly reusable clothing end up in landfills. I saw an opportunity to change that - one up-cycled garment at a time. The idea stuck with me for a long time. It is what ultimately inspired me to build a business rooted in upcycled fashion—not just as a creative outlet, but as a conscious decision to challenge how we consume, discard, and value things.
How It All Started
Ever since childhood, I’ve been a passionate creator-always busy with projects, whether it was sewing my own clothes, making Christmas present for family, knitting or changing the layout of my room. This project based mindset were the beginning of something much bigger. I went on to developed my skills by completing a BA (Hons) degree in Ceramics and later a Masters in Business Design at Syddansk Universitet.
What is Upcycling and sustainable fashion?
Upcycling is a creative process of transforming old or leftover fabrics into new sustainable clothing. This eco-friendly practise reduces textile waste, conserves natural resources, and gives garments a unique, personalised touch. It is also a deeply creative process that is contributing to a more circular economy in fashion. Each piece tells its own story.
Why Upcycling Made Business Sense
For me choosing to build a business around sustainable fashion wasn’t just about creativity—it was about values. It was about saying no to the disposable mindset and yes to making eco-friendly clothing and reducing textile waste.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
